Is it possible that the "foobies" from this bulkhead release were actually leased models from TTX that were painted in the schemes of the railroad they were leased to? The reason I ask is because I received some Rapido 66' bulkhead cars today, and some of them say they are leased. For example the black CP car says "leased from Procor Limited". No it's not. They are foobies, no two ways about it. The CN and BCOL liveries that Walthers decided to do are properly the Rapido car. I'm less conversant on the other roads, but they're apparently not Bethlehem cars matching the model either.

edwardsutorik Was curious about your comment regarding wood and nailable flatcar decks. As good (or bad for that matter) as some of our HO models are with details, unless you know which real cars have wood or nailable steel floors I would assume it may be difficult to tell which a model has every time? Going back to the old Roundhouse (MDC) now Athearn and the Atlas Trainman 62 ft bulkhead, any idea which deck they have? Thanks Dave in Az The PDF says it's based on BSH71A. According to a former TTX person, the F68AH's have wood floors, while the BSH71As, Bs, and Cs have nailable steel floors. The latter will be demonstrated on a model by a lack of "bolt holes" regularly repeated in the flooring, I believe. "Plank" width might be different--don't know. The ScaleTrains comes with a wood deck, and lettered as a F68AH. If you need nailable steel flooring on your TTX Bethlehem bulkhead flats, then you might well choose the Walthers car. A further update: The BSH71's have a bare steel bulkhead face, while the F68AH's have wood sheathing. Only other purchasers of any of these cars was: MSV 400-484 (BSH71B) (Mississippi and Skuna Valley)(Kinda want one of these) SM 6001-6060 (BSH71B) (St. Marys) Again: Jim Eager My interest in running cars with cast-on grabs approaches zero. So does shaving off the grabs. At first thought, if I desperately needed the BSH71 version, I'd kitbash it from the ScaleTrains. Ed PS: The MSV cars went to WCRC (Columbia Basin). I DEFINITELY would be buying a couple of those!

"The latter [nailable steel floor] will be demonstrated on a model by a lack of "bolt holes" regularly repeated in the flooring, I believe."
I would go with the above. Of course, a manufacturer could have just "forgot" the "bolt holes", and thus placed a nailable steel floor deck onto a model that should have had a wood deck.
Since the Roundhouse/Athearn car has no prototype, there won't be such a problem. Just go with whatever the moldmaker chose. I don't know much about the Trainman cars.

Ed The Atlas Trainman bulkhead is based on the same Trenton/Gunderson/Greenbrier car that Exactrail made. Wooden deck.
