Yep, all gone at Tangent. Great news, and on with the next run. I’ll agree on the ExactRail DRGW great steel fleet hoppers selling out instantly when they show up. High demand with them since they first released them years ago. I hope someone at Scale Trains has figured that out as well. Tangent just put out a Notice on Facebook that due to Popularity they'll be releasing another run to the IC/ICG hoppers in the near future TANGENT by Matt Fisher, on Flickr

I hope someone at Scale Trains has figured that out as well. There does seem to be a lot of pent up demand for D&RGW quads. When the last run came out from ExactRail, I was ready for them but was hoping to spread my purchase out a bit. But when I saw how fast the numbers were going down, I bit the bullet and made some large purchases ultimately acquiring all 36. There were 18 numbers for two number series, which could have easily been 24 numbers for each series. I imagine if ExactRail didn't come out with these quads, Tangent surely would have.

Other than a few holes, like semi enclosed auto racks, I'm getting pretty set with freight cars. So yeah, correct EV cabooses are on my need list. I've managed to collect a number of the shop built D&RGW cabooses as much as it would be nice to see them done in plastic, the International EV cabooses are on my want list A Grande EV caboose soon to be announced, then the long wait from them. Set for freight cars?? when barely 15% to 20% of the D&RGW car fleet has been produced in model form. The freight car market is far from saturated. So many more common cars to be done.

A Grande EV caboose soon to be announced, then the long wait from them. I know Athearn has the caboose on the to-do list, but dang they are taking their time, and the wait is now around 18+ months. At this point I'd prefer Tangent offer them, then they would be available a lot sooner. They might even be in the works, but will never know until/unless they get announced. There are two different types D&RGW purchased, those built in 1966/67 and the last batch of a different style built in 1975, I'm speaking for myself of course. I've got more than I can use now but would welcome freight cars not offered yet. I haven't gone though my Rio Grande Color Guide lately to check how many of the D&RGW freight cars have been done, but the RR being a bridge route carried a large variety for freight cars of which I've tried to collect a representative mix. What specifically would you like to see produced. My last communication with Chris Brimley he gave the following feedback about the D&RGW GSC bulkhead flats: "I have some great builders photos of the D&RGW GSI Bulkhead flats. I have everything I need for these and I have the new tooling started soon." That was in summer of 2019

FYI, If anyone is still looking for a few more IC/ICG hoppers now, Lombard Hobby just listed a bunch of them this morning. Good luck, probably won’t last very long.

oakway--
Thank you. I do not model IC/ICG, but they are neat cars so I just ordered 3 more from Lombard to go with my first 3.

And, they’re gone from Lombard hobbies. What a slam dunk for Tangent. Looking forward to the next run of these cars.

Normally I order direct from Tangent but I wasn’t expecting them to sell out so fast. Thankfully, I was able to place an order with Lombard before it was too late. IC and ICG isn’t my primary road but these were too nice to pass up on. Tangent excels once again!

I usually try to buy a few duplicates just to flip, but I wasn't fast enough to get more than a few singles.

For those that don't mind decaling, the undecorated RTR hoppers are still in stock and ICG Decals has 10 new sets available for these cars. ICG-95 through ICG-104 ICG Decals
