What is the best way to remove paint from these? Bought one and i want to repaint into ICG and was wondering if alcohol would work.

If the paint on it is anything like most of the Atlas locos I've dealt with, a few hours soaking in 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush scrubbing will do the trick.

I haven't had very good luck with strippers, including Scalecoat Wash Away, Easy Lift Off and 91% alcohol, but I have had success grit blasting with baking soda. That Atlas caboose paint is pretty tough.

I've been able to use 91% isopropyl to remove paint from the Atlas EV caboose before no problem, so maybe it varies by run or scheme.

My experiences were with Cotton Belt and Frisco schemes, both tough as nails.

Undecorated does exist for these, not super common but I had one in January that I paid a whopping $4 for at a show. Went right on eBay and sold for like $25. Still not that bad given what a lot of cabooses list for.

I build 1/24 scale model cars and I've used Pine Sol to remove paint from poorly painted models I've picked up over the years. I've never tried it on a factory finished model like a caboose before though.

I finished spraying the stripped caboose. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

I've never tried it on a factory finished model like a caboose before though. Be careful with Pine Sol. It worked great for me on old Athearn "Blue Box" models (the ones that were black plastic). Kato's on the other hand, turned to peanut brittle after a soaking. I don't know what might happen to an Atlas model. My guess is the specific type of plastic makes a huge difference in how it will react with Pine Sol.
