Sweet. There are some RI engines like that in my Colorful Colorado Railroads of the 1960's book by Ron C Hill.

There is a nice color book if anyone is interested that has a lot of nice photo's of Rock Island trains and power in the 1960's; much of them match that paint scheme and some of them only have the white stripes on the front, and were spartanized behind with no stripes. www.amazon.com/Colorful-Colorado-Railroads-Nineteen-Sixties/dp/0918654459I bought the book for the D&RGW photo's but there are lots of nice CB&Q photo's in both red and black bird paint, MoPac, Santa Fe and UP. Lots of nice large format photo's. Someone on Amazon gave it a 2 start review LOL, but to me it's a real gem for the RR photo's there. There are some really interesting diesel lash-ups and it was a time of transition from 1st to 2nd generation power.
