My atlas FMC 5347 double door box cars arrive today. These cars are just another example of excellent tooling and printing second to none. I ordered all four of the Galveston Wharves Boxcars, and could not be more pleased with them. I wish other manufactures would follow suit in regards to how atlas paints and decorates their models because they are superb.
It’s been an early Christmas here on the Joppa Sub with ExactRail quads; Tangent PS 4750s; and now these truly Atlas Master cars.
I would also say "THANKS AGAIN" Rob and the crew at DCC trains in Cincy...they provide excellent service and prices.

This is one of the things I like about this forum..
I had forgotten about the 5347 until I read this topic. I bought a TOE off e-bay(free shipping) after reading this topic.

Guys, just wanted to give anyone who bought the last batch of the 5347 a heads up. I bought all four numbers of the TOE's and one OP&E car and they all have the same problem. I kept hearing a clicking sound and they would barely roll on level track. I took the trucks off and checked them and they came out fine. I put them back on...same problem. Then I discovered that the front axle is rubbing on the spring hanger on the back of the draft gear. Every time the sprue mark on the axle rolled around, it would catch the spring hanger. I figured that there could be several ways to fix the problem, I took the lazy way out. I just nipped off a tiny bit of each hanger and touched it up with a paint pen. Now it's perfect.

I'm replacing my draft gear with the Moloco FMC style draft gear. But the heads' up is certainly appreciated.

These are nice box cars. I've ordered a Oregon and Pacfic Eastern and Galveston Warves so far.
Do the whisker KD's drop in to replace the Accumates?
