YES i’ve used several with no modification. Use the one with a spring in it and be as precise as possible with your placement.
The N scale Caboose Ground Throw is smaller and a bit more challenge for fat fingers, especially when the lever is layed down all the way to the “ground” unless you have fingernails. Smaller is better looking, esthetically.

The Caboose Industries 206S ground throw has .135" travel. As long as the distance from the stock rails to the points is less, it should work. I made a simple H-shaped fixture out of styrene to center the points while the throw is installed (with the handle straight up to center the throw).
