Saw them at a shop the other day and the TTX yellow looks terrible, almost as bad as the ScaleTrains rendition.

There was a discussion of the cars and their short comings on T.O. The writers pointing out the flaws in the car and the container were slammed pretty hard to the point of name calling. I guess Rapido is a scared cow you don't complain about.

Wasn't this from their "wife approved" budget line?

The yellow is only bad on the cars with the red TTX logo. The cars that have the black and white logo, the yellow looks spot on. The CP cars look good as well.

The 1992 paint cars should be a mustard color and the 1972 paint cars should not be a lemon color. Rapido already stated the colors are off. The factory used a pantone yellow, not the color cards they sent to them. The CP cars are ok for me. Im glad to have them, but I wish they were in Rapido's more detailed line. I could with out the cheaply done containers, also.

Who sent the factory the pantone yellow? Ed Rapido sent the correct color samples but the factory used pantone yellow.

i pick up few of the rapido husky stack cars and so far the run good. the only thing is there not much variety when it come to container that come with the car. both ttx versons have same bnsf and jb hunt containers even the same container numbers. cp husky stack car seem to be hot item. few where left at one of hobby shops i went to. i did oder the pink cancer car as well. only issue is one side didn't have ttx logo on it. but i'll find ttx decal later on to put on. www.snapfish.com/library/share?via=link&token=r9K8L65V8I9b1PN8H3CTXg/AUS/27950543013070/SNAPFISH

I had the same issue. Got four TTX cars, different numbers. All four had the exact same BNSF/JP Hunt containers. I understand that the containers were supposed to be "random", but this is anything but... This is just lazy packaging at the factory.

"Random" doesn't seem to be something that is easily done.
For example, the Rapido NH parlor cars. Each parlor seat on the real car was rotating. The only time they all faced the same direction was in the publicity stills. It was requested that the factory install the parlor seats in totally random rotated positions. However, they came from the factory with all the seats facing 45 degrees towards the centerline of the car. Not one seat faced a window, forwards, rearwards, or any other position.
Fortunately, the seats did not have excessive CA holding them in place. With a little twist, one was able to break them off the floor and reposition them. But I had to laugh at the non-random rotating seats.

Will there be a rerun of the Rapido DTTX?
I'm still searching for a CP car and a pink 'on track for a cure' car.

As noted these cars were supposed to be part of the more affordable "Prime Movers" line Rapido experimented with, though they did get some upgrades done from what was originally planned when customer reaction was so negative.
But these well cars (and the Dash 8-40CM which was the other part of the Prime Mover line) are inherently compromised based on how the projects tooling was originally done and thus will never match up to the other Rapido products.

I've written Rapido, with the question if there will be a rerun.
The answer is: yes!
Only they can't tell when.
