I still want to see that Charger in action to see if the side lights up at night like the prototype. As a observation for what Bachmann is asking for their 2-10-0 I can buy a United Models brass 2-10-0. If I needed a 2-10-0 I would by the United 2-10-0.

Find one at a discount. MB Klein comes to mind.

I would prefer the Pittman DC70 motor with worm gear to wheel gear drive since I know that is a dependable drive combination. I have no use for a Charger on my industrial switching layout(ISL).

The Atlas Kids stuff looks like a regurgitation of Marklin of Germany's "My World". Probably made in the same Chinese factory.
My twins have had it for several years. It's good for that age. The plastic flanges will break if they do normal kid stuff like crash them. Marklin has spare parts, but will Atlas?

There goes my fishing money for 2020...
-Genesis SD90MAC-H
-Bowser SD 40-2 in FURX paint scheme
-Bachmann Charger
-Scale Trains and Atlas Auto Racks
-Rapido Amtrak Horizon cars PH VI
Good thing all track, roadbed, turnouts and DCC boosters are already purchased....'20 could be the most expensive hobby year to date.

Knowing that I want to build an ISL has kept me away from a lot of the new announcements. The Walther's PNC Geep is a must have for me this time. I just bought another Walthers Plymouth ML-8 switcher, this time with DCC, it looks like the perfect loco for my little layout.

Typically one can find Bachmann being sold for 40% to 50% off list.

Typically one can find Bachmann being sold for 40% to 50% off list. True, I paid $89.99 for my DCC/Sound Alco S4. That was a train show special price. When I bought this engine I had plans to add all the grabs but, I couldn't find a grab iron pattern for drilling the holes or the needed grabs. I had a pattern for Atlas/Roco S4 grabs but, it was among the missing specialize modeling tools I kept in a small wooden box that disappeared during the '07 Bucyrus flood.
