Uh, guys - It's almost the end of the day. Surely there is model railroading happening? Here's a thread for the sake of continuity. The project was to upgrade a Trident school bus without getting too involved. In other words, fix the highlights. The first photo is the Trident model and one of the reference photos I used. The second photo is the finished bus. Things I did not do are the glass in the passenger area, the square headlights and use new mirrors that looked good! I did do new paint and lettering along with new wheels and tires. Herpa, I think. Plano running boards. Various safety lights from Lonestar. I stripped the chrome off the grill. The model

I finished MR 7168, an FMC 5077 double door. This started as a factory decorated Atlas RTR. Moloco couple pockets were added. It was lettered with Microscale decals, and weathered to match a prototype photo. That was the last of the 14 McCloud River Railway cars I have done over the last year or so. Seven of them were done from undecorated kits. Eight of them used custom decals in some shape or form from PDC of Canada. I finished installing KDs on them, a few finishing touches, and then test ran them all on my Children's "Thomas" 4x8 layout.

Managed to complete a couple of cars this week! Atlas (Ex-Branchline) 1944 AAR Boxcar kit with 7's Door, removed the rivits from this car as the Ann Arbor cars were of welded design, added A-Line Sill Steps, then painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Smoke Box Graphics decals. Car was painted in the 1951 as delivered scheme but I added the flag which was not on the as delivered car which was in general service. Athearn 2893CF PS2 Covered Hopper Kit, painted with Scalecoat II UP Covered Hopper Gray Paint and lettered with Dan Kohlberg's, ICG Decals. Most of these cars were in Soda Ash or Potash service. Not used for cement as cement or sand would overload the car's maximum weight if loaded fully. A pair of Alco C636's testing out on the PC before their own C636's are delivered. Picture taken on the Strongsville Model Railroad Club Layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

Nice job!

Nice job! Pre-orders have passed, but Atlas is doing a 2nd run of them. I ordered 3 more "undecorated" models to replace some kits that "didn't make it".

As I remember, besides being huge and hard to work with, the Mircroscale and Herald King sets both didn't take the ribs into account, and so they were a little bit off.
