Good Thursday Morning to all the Forum Folks. Both leaded and unleaded varieties of coffee have been brewed up. Even put on a pot of tea and we have a pitcher of sweet & unsweet, iced teas. Fried steak 'n egg sandwiches are ready for those on the go, but order up your favorite and the Chef will oblige. Been hectic all week at work and today is no exception. I shall, however, have a day shorter than 12 - 14 hours, provided most everyone behaves! ;D Had a nice rain strom pass through early last evening. Still need more, but we'll take what falls. No train time last night. Going to try this evening, but I do have pics to upload, too..... Decisions, decisions. Hope that one and all have a good day.

Good Morning Terry and the rest of the Forum Folks. Thanks for turning the lights on. Now I don't have to stumble around in the dark as I get used to the place. Coffee's fresh brewed and hot. Using some of the grill space this morning to make up some bluberry pancakes and french toast. Still have room for your egg orders, though. The maple syrup and Karo syrup are on the counter, along with biscuits, muffins and bread for toast. The ham slices, bacon and sausage links & patties are frying up, too. A pan each of oatmeal and grits are on the stove and the drinks are in the cooler. A couple bunches of bananas are available for Miss Dee, but enough for anyone else who might want one. Still looking for a termite supplier, though. And a place to keep 'em once we get 'em "in stock". ;D Come on in, set a spell, chew the fat and relax before you have to face "The World", today. As expected, no train time last night. Have some errands to run after work this afternoon and rains are in the forecast. We got a nice, moderate rain/t-storm mid-afternoon, yesterday. That's more water I don't have to pay for, to keep LD's plants healthy! ;D Terry, I do hope the repairs to your vehicle can be done in time. Rentals can be a good option, but I'm willing to bet your insurance will balk at paying for one for the trip. Hope everyone has a good day.

I wanted to share some pictures of a train that came by this week. The 156 is on train # 5 on Tuesday at Weimar California. I enjoy seeing the Heritage units when they are on the train. Larry This is the Eastbound # 6 yesterday with the 156 leading.

Larry, thanks for the pictures. It's cool and rainy here today, so the bright skies and train kind of took me away from it. I have a son in in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. This afternoon, my wife will be leaving for 10 days to visit him. The trip had been originally set up as kind of a sad thing. He was scheduled to leave for Afghanistan the first of July, but in a physical, they found a damaged knee cap, that is preventing him from going, and will prevent him from staying in the service when his tour time is completed. I have another son in the Navy, that's stationed in Seattle, Washington, and one week from today, he will be returning to civilian life.

Terry, I do hope the repairs to your vehicle can be done in time. Rentals can be a good option, but I'm willing to bet your insurance will balk at paying for one for the trip. Unfortunately a rental is not an option, because our upcoming trip involves dragging our rather large and heavy RV a little over a thousand miles. On a better note, I got my replacement HO Climax in the mail today. It's a 3 truck 70 ton version, rather than the 2 truck, 50 ton version. The new one also has DCC. I got a bigger, nicer engine, I just hope it runs better and longer than the first one I had. I won't know how it runs until I get my DCC command station back, though I think this will run on straight DC.

I'm pretty sure your Climax will run on DC without any issues. Most DCC equipped locos will, but there are exceptions.....

Good morning. I'd like a cup of coffee with cream, thamks. All the parts are in and on my truck with the exception of the bumper cover, it' still listed as "shipping". I know it won't be here in time, so I put the old one ack on for now. The fun never ends...

Good morning to my fellow modelers. Last night's jam session was good, but not good enough to get the law called on us again. Life is getting in the way today, so I'm not going to have a lot of time for trains. The drafting a and reducing measurements down to 1/24 scale is done on the MRI trailer project. Today is going to be spent in changing the measurements from standard to metric.

Good Evening James, Terry & Douglas. Due to being called out early, all I did was fly by the lounge as I headed out. Stayed busy all day, too. After work we had some out of town errands to run. That kept me from the trains this evening. James, that is a pretty good experience you related about your days working on steam locos. Interesting to say the least. Terry, so close, yet so far...... Hope the trip goes well. Douglas, glad to hear my bretheren weren't needed to quell any boisterous behavior this week at your place!! ;D Hope that everyone had a good day.
