Not an answer to your question but a tip for anyone sharing links from eBay: Their URLs are always of the form "www" dot "ebay" dot "com" slash "itm" slash number. So in your case you can delete everything from the question mark on.

Wednesday, August 31, about 12:30 p.m., EDT
I have one of these Walthers models, which was ready to run when I bought it, bright red and lettered for CP Rail. It matched a car that I saw not earlier than the 1992 or so, after CP had bought the Delaware & Hudson, spotted for unloading at Kenwood Yard in Albany, NY. The logs on the full-sized car on it were longer than typical pulpwood logs, which are usually loaded crosswise in the car carrying them, and were in lengthwise stacks. I'm not sure whether the cast resin stacks cme with the car model or not.

I wish I had grabbed my phone to take photos of them. They looked pretty cool in the train with these large logs loaded onto them. They were loaded length wise as you mentioned Steve.

If memory serves me correctly. These are the type of cars I saw.

I highly doubt this is a mid 1970's type car. Just curious now. What era did this type of car begin showing up? The Walthers car is: CP 304800-304879, blt 9-10/70 by Hawker-Siddeley. Looks like a perfect fit, at least for the era. The cars spent a lot of time in Ontario Province. Here's the only shot I found of one loaded: www.rr-fallenflags.org/cp/cp304839l06.jpgVery neat cars. I wonder if there were any copies. They would certainly do as pole cars. Ed

PROCOR had a group that was leased to St. Lawrence and Atlantic in the early 90's

Dozens of similar cars all across the CN in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, used for pulpwood. As mentioned many on the E&LS as well.

Other than the Walthers SEICO bulkheads and the resin kits from SRHS, there aren't any rtr models that match Southern prototypes. There are some 6' close enough models, but Southern ordered some oddball cars.

As mentioned many on the E&LS as well. Not exactly. The CN (WC) and ELS cars are rebuilt 52' bulkhead flatcars (like the other Canadian bulkhead flatcar that Walther's marketing for some reason calls a CC&F car, but were built by Hawker-Siddeley - a successor to CCF). The pulpwood flatcar model in question as very clearly mentioned above is a CP-only prototype also built by Hawker-Siddeley with a 60' inside length. Built new in this configuration. CN (and a couple of other owners) had some similar new-built flatcars with permanent side stakes for log service built by NSC and Marine Industries, but with different end bulkhead designs and a shorter 52' inside length.
