I'm strictly a consumer, not a manufacturer or importer, but I have to imagine that importer/manufacturers who have based their business model on Chinese production are looking at the future with more trepidation now than they did a year ago. I can't also help but think that we're well into the Golden Age of model railroading, and it may not last much longer. Buy what you can while you can! Manufacture what you can as well!

I've never pre ordered and I'm not about to start now. Most of their stuff can be had long after they are in stock from whoever you buy from. Maybe they could do cheaper "mainline" versions of their high end cars and see how that works for a non pre order model. I would like more 3800 hoppers but not at 40$ or more a piece.
