I managed to get 2 Accurail cars from the Greenberg train show a few weeks ago, and then snagged a 3rd off eBay, and somehow they all have different numbers. I could nit-pick them all day long, but they look pretty sharp, which is really all I was going for. The NYC has officially invaded my Pennsy layout. 1/22/2024, starting about 12:11 p.m., EST
crblue and Ed, yes, that's a sharp looking train. But that loco is hardly getting a workout!
One of my many sentimental affections is for colorful LCL boxcars that rarely got off their home roads: a mostly blue & white MoPac car, for instance. I have a very flimsy fictional excuse for lots of LCL shipments from the main station on my small layout.

Who cares, the cars are totally incorrect, the only railroads that had the type of car represented by the Athearn 40' box were the IC and DSSA, it is a 1937 Mod AAR car that is 10'6" IH, while the Majority of Pacemaker Cars were 10' IH. Rick Jesionowski Given the OP was looking for cars to run with a Bachmann Hudson, and debated using Bowser cars that don't represent any real car at all, I would imagine more than a few people don't care if they're wrong. I need to look in a box in the basement, I may have at least one more of them.
