Hopefully CNJ in solid green and B&O blue are next up! The ones listed at the top of the thread are Dec '25-Jan '26 at a minimum and looks like Bowser's closer to 24 months on locomotives.

Really looking forward to my Lackawannas this December! I pre-ordered two but may pick up a third to renumber if I see a good price in person.

As commented earlier about the blue of the LIRR unit being too dark. Here is the D&H unit as posted by Bowser: Here it is in person: I thought all the Bowser photos looked dark. They are!

I thought all the Bowser photos looked dark. They are! The blue and black on SP&S 97 look too dark. I called Bowser yesterday and was told that the actual model was lighter. Ed

I had a look at what showed up and nabbed the last two Interstate (silent) to resell. They had quite a few D&H and B&M on hand.

It's not that hard to adjust the images to more closely match the product. They look oversaturated at the very least.

Particularly dark colors on a light background are easy to underexpose or otherwise mess up. I avoid a white background now on model photos. But yes, they could have chucked them in an editor and cranked up the highlights to compensate

^^^ The black stripes look a little narrow on the Atlas. They look right on the Overland. I don't remember the dimensions ... 5" white stripes for sure, should the black ones be 4"? Maybe they got the colors reversed.

Got to look at one at the store. It might be some sort of optical illusion, but the black stripes seem correct in person.

My blue and grey SP&S RS-3 came home a few days ago.
In the photos of the prototype that I've seen, the colors are much more faded than on the model. At least for now, I'm going to assume the model is correctly painted in "fresh" paint. It IS "lighter" than in the photos from the Bowser site, and comes across as believable. I do think I could fade it if I felt the need
But now to the point of this post:
I discovered that this loco came equipped with keep-alive.
Uh: HOORAY!!

^^^ The black stripes look a little narrow on the Atlas. They look right on the Overland. I don't remember the dimensions ... 5" white stripes for sure, should the black ones be 4"? Maybe they got the colors reversed. the alternating stripes on CP were always the same width for both colors. Keep in mind there are also two widths of stripes, 5" and 8". The narrow stripes were introduced along with the Action Red scheme in 1968, and it changed to 8" later on. Some time in the 70s, IIRC, but I don't remember exactly when. At the same time as the stripes got wider, they also eliminated the 'full face' stripes on the front of the cab, leaving only the nose with stripes. In either case as I mentioned the white and red/black (depending on which end of the unit) stripes were the same width. So a 5" or 8" white stripe, then a 5" or 8" red/black one, and so on.
