Are the sliding doors on the Walthers NYC troop sleeper baggage cars molded on or separate parts? I'd like to model one with the inside sliding door and would like to know if I can just pop the door off or if I'll have to cut it out.

Mine were separate. I repainted one into a New Haven scheme: New Haven_Express-troop by Edmund, on Flickr Of course it is possible Walthers made changes to their molds over the years. I'll check some of my others later. I think I have about a dozen in various roads. The roof can be carefully pried off to access the interior. [Edit] Greg is correct that on the exterior-type sliding door it IS molded as part of the car side. If the prototype had in interior sliding door of the type I show on NH 3137 Walthers made it a separate piece. Good Luck, Ed
