Where is this annoucement at? I don't see anything on the website or Facebook. Are you sure youre not just seeing the Nippon Sharyo cars arriving? Those aren't new announcements.

Aren't they the gallery cars that they had previously announced a long time ago?

Those are the Nippon Sharyo cars, not Budd.
Which raises a new question: Won't these also be suitable for Caltrans? Or are their cars different in some way...

Atlas sent out an email saying these, GP40-2s, Trainman 40' PD boxcars, and the $75 covered hoppers are due to arrive this week.
But it's too soon, they only went out August 19th. I'd believe they made port this week but wouldn't expect to actually see them until October.

Can't wait to get these. I ordered them about two or three years ago, together with an Atlas MP36. I've always wondered why it took so long for h0 scale models of this equipment. In an area of about 8 million people - Chicagoland - there must be a market for these models.

Or a Southern/EL/D&RGW caboose... Now it would be nice if Tangent already had a caboose ready to ship in the near future rather than Athearns which won't ship until 2026.

At a minimum, it should be a good stand-in for the Caltrain cars...I haven't looked up the differences. Metra and VRE had several subsequent orders, some from Amerail and some from Super Steel.
