We might have all the Trinity reefer configurations now? Rapido and Scaletrains have the larger cars covered, alough I didn't even realize the Cryo Trans cars were a different size than the BNSF ones.

They teased a couple other items but I can't find them yet. Have to wait for the official announcement tomorrow

If there were silent versions of the Cryo Trans, I'd be more excited. I have three parts to kitbash three of them and will probably stick to with those plans.

They offer sound as an add-on to the CP mechanical reefers. The Cryo-trans come with it installed?

You could get one just so you could turn off the sound. “There, take that, you little ^%#$#%&^%$^%!!!”.

The Cryo-Trans cars are a different prototype built by Greenbrier, the successor of Gunderson, who built the cryogenic reefers represented by the old Walthers model. They have the same configuration with the external reefer unit and platform at the end of the car, but that’s about all they share, aside from perhaps the doors. I’m disappointed that we still don’t have a high quality version of the older Gunderson prototype to replace the Walthers model, to include the rebuilds that Cryo-Trans operated for years, but this upcoming Rapido car is much-needed model. Being shop built and unique, I never thought they would be offered in plastic. Pretty amazing. It looks like the version being done are the 01400-01469 riveted offset cupola caboose.

If there were silent versions of the Cryo Trans, I'd be more excited. I guess you'll be more excited. The lower row in the link is $20 cheaper than the upper row, and does not have the words "with sound" in the description. Ed

A pleasant surprise to see those Rio Grande cabooses being offered, did not think that would ever happen in plastic. I have a fair number of brass ones but can always use a couple more!

Agreed Mark, these will be a nice addition to the fleet and for those who weren't able obtain correct brass D&RGW shop built cabooses, now is your chance. Hopefully these will displace those Athearn blue box ATSF cabooses painted for D&RGW that we often see in photos and videos.

Don't think I can avoid getting at least one

I thought they looked closer to the real ones, but being MDC it's a shell tooled to fit an existing underframe. I only ended up with a couple because I bought a big lot of HO cars and everything was D&RGW, 40' box cars and two cabooses.

I sold mine off a few years ago.
