I don't have a FB account but did a little poking around - but didn't find the videos. But having pre-production samples probably means the models will ship sooner than if they had renderings only.

You don't need FB, I don't, to see a public facing account. If you go to: www.facebook.com/rapidotrainsAnd scroll down a few messages, there is a video that starts with a countdown, I think on "5". That is the CO show and has the samples on a table. The next post below shows the Rio Grande caboose on the Rapido bridge diorama.

It would be helpful if Rapido put some dates on the graphics to know what era this paint schemes apply to.
For example, I have a couple Proto SD7's in the Bumble Bee scheme - so would the black caboose be appropriate or another? I also have a 1970's era coal train - which caboose schemes best fit 1972-1977?

So black or single stripe caboose for that time frame. The solid orange scheme came around 1972 or so. Plated side windows around 1982/83. I've seen photo's of D&RGW riveted cabooses in the 1970's in all of the schemes (black with early single sash windows, black with rounded modernized windows, single stripe, solid orange) except for the switch caboose, the black caboose with quad sash windows and the caboose with plated over windows. Interestingly, Rapido is not offering the 4-stripe version (Division Point brass). nor the black with yellow stripes (Overland Welded version thanks to Tbird):
