I really like all three contributions so far. The geep is spectacular. Makes me think of the glory days of Tower 55.
Markrazzo your layout looks fantastic. I'd really like to see more photos of it if you have them to post.
Larry, I like all three of those GP38-2s. Who makes each one?

Its been a while since we had a Sunday Photo Fun, and I have finished a bunch of cars since then, so here they are! Atlas Phase II 1932 AAR Boxcar, with a 1950's repaint, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Greg Komar Decals. IMRC 50' PS1 Boxcar, replaced door with Athearn 10' Wide YSD, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Greg Komar Decals. Paint scheme is a late 50's repaint. ExactRail PS 5344CF Boxcar Kit, I know they did this car as RTR but I had the decal, so I assembled the kit (with no directions) Painted it with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow and lettered with Herald King Decals. Assembled and painted an Intermountain 10,000 Gal Tank Car kit, painted it with Scalecoat II Black and lettered with Champ Decals. After Athearn announced their NYC 40' Early Bird Foobie, I had to finish this correct 40' Early Bird Car. Started with a Branchline 40' Kit with 8' Door, substituted an 8' Front Range Door from the scrap box. They NYC Despatch Shops did this with 1937 40' Boxcars in the 50's and lettered them for the Merchants Despatch Service. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow and Boxcar Red, and lettered with Greg Komar Decals. Note the car was designated an RB instead of the more common RBL as it did not have installed racks for lading protection. Walther's 50' NACC RB, note is is labeled an RB as it did not have lading control devices, painted with Floquil Signal Red and lettered with Herald King Decals. This is an Intermountain Railway, 40' - 10' IH - 6 Panel Boxcar, Painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Orange and Pullman Green Paint and lettered with Champ Decals. This is an Intermountain Railway 40' 10-6" IH 1937 AAR Boxcar. Painted with Floquil Signal Red and Platinum Mist and lettered with Champ Decals. Details West 50' RBL (Evans Blue Island Reefer), painted with Floquil Signal Red and Platinum Mist, lettered with Herald King Decals. Thanks for looking! Rick J

Here is a model of Pan Am Railways SW1 shop switcher #007 that I built out of Walthers latest release. Some added details were hand made muffler, long handrails on the frame, plows, working marker lights and new dual beam head lights. Link to prototype here. traindude

Nice work, everyone! I often do narrowgauge pics, but have been spending some time on the standard gauge adding a couple of badly needed tracks to smooth local switching service. Here's a pic of a meet at Durango. The track on the far right that the 44-tonner is sitting on is new. I added dual gauge couplers to an Atlas H15-44: If you're interested in dual gauge operations and equipment, I started a thread about that here: cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/220782.aspxI built a big warehouse on a skinny flat (the track on the left is new): And a bulldozer is finishing up the roadbed for the spur up to the site of what will be Camp 13:

Traindude, Nice to see a fellow Pan Am modeler. That looks great! Here is my GP40-2, I only seem to see these engines in my neck of the woods so it was great to see your switcher.
