It's time for some Sunday Photo Fun! Your doings and projects, even if incomplete, are welcome. Management keeps telling the crews competition is out there, so pick up the pace. Somehow, the crews are not impressed... Getting ready for an ops session next weekend, so not much to show of various tasks, like checking out track issues, positioning trains, doing paperwork, etc. Did wrap up a few projects, like this barrel shed for the Sinclair dealer built from the scrap box. I also scratched-up a barn for Meinrath's to store hay, feed, other fodder, and straw in.

Nothing new this week just a couple of club pictures of the NKP and Wabash, both of which used to be in my backyard when I lived in Toledo, Ohio on the joint line from Toledo Zoo down to just south of Maumee where they then split with the NKP going to Fort Wayne and the Wabash heading to Montpelier. Athearn Genesis GP9's on a general freight! Athearn Genesis F7's in the best scheme applied to the F7's IMHO. Rick J.

Great looking shot Dave, I am going to assume that is high country. The field is simply awesome like the south 40 you know. But, the roadbed is just to clean and perfect. I hope that you take this as helpful from other eyes and not a slam. Always wanting to help and learn, Scotty.

I finished weathering this Exactrail PCF 6033 box car recently. These cars were sold off by the SP in the late 80s and have passed though several secondhand owners over the years. I believe the BAEX cars are still around today. We used to see them locally being used for salt loading. I started out with a factory patched BAEX car but quickly decided it really was not that close in appearance to the prototype, so it would need a extensive reworking to get the look I was after. This is the prototype I chose- www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsPicture.aspx?id=208476I choose to do BAEX 635 since it was one of the few cars that still had the yellow doors like the model. When I started I couldn't find any shots of the right side of 635 so I ended up borrowing from several other cars. Brad

Never enough T-2's Jim, Time to get them a little dirty! What duplicate# do you have? I only have 6 on my roster, hint, hint. Work and Band are keeping me pretty busy so I have some shots of some older models, hopefully some new fun things next week. A rebuilt Walthers 4427 An Intermountain 4750, back when I had way more time to build models

I had a moment to photograph some models in the sun this week, then the camera battery died. But before then, I got a couple shots of this Bluford Mopac caboose in progress and an Athearn Cotton Belt SW1500 that I'm getting close to finishing.

Great start guys, hey Mike? Is that the Colombian Juan Valdez and some of his coffee beans? ;-) I think he actually looks more like the Kung-Fu Guy (David Carradine? -- never saw the show) from what little I remember from seeing promos of that show, whose title escapes me right now...but he could be whoever you want him to be. That's the advantage of being mysterious...along with a pack train of supplies...or maybe gold?

Nice stream scene, Chad! I got the first four tracks (of 20) operational in my Enola/Harrisburg staging yard. More here.

Brad - That's really cool - I shot the second and third prototype photos of that car. Your model looks fantastic. I have two SP cars stashed away to eventually model secondhand cars in the late '90s (pre-BAEX). I forget what the reporting marks were back then, but I have the info saved somewhere. Thanks for sharing! Dave

Weathered up a couple factory painted Athearn Genesis engines this week .... Mark. Nice weathering. The streaking is what makes the rest of the weathering job stand out. Looks real nice, although UP is the yellow I prefer to see looking weathered like that.

Mike, that guy sure does have that "Grasshopper" look to him. but You mustnt be trying hard, that show should be on some channels somewhere. Lots of nice Frieght Cars this week. and lots of nice Tunnel Motors James. Rick, if Erie would have put the 2 tone Green on the Passenger F7 set it would have given the Wabash scheme some real compitition. Great Pics Guys !! Spikre

I gave up watching most TV some four decades ago when the Air Force sent dad (and the rest of us) to Germany. Got out of the habit of watching, then saw little reason to watch TV once we returned to the land of the Big BX. The only show I watch regularly is Saturday Night Live since Walter Cronkhite retired. Leaves lots of time to build trains
