I believe I read an announcement that some company was going to produce a blue & white GP38-2. However, I can not find the announcement. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Respectfully, BNSF Fan

I remember seeing them in the Atlas catalog that was released not too long ago, but seems like Atlas has been doing a poor job of keeping their website up to date with the new catalog items. They also show up as pre-order items at Walthers, but without pictures: www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/150-10002360

Yeah they'd have to be done by Atlas since they're actually rebuilt GP38s, not factory new GP38-2s. I believe BNSF actually traded GMTX some SW1500s for them. Several are in full BNSF paint now. One of them was in CSX mow orange when BNSF got it but it was repainted into full BNSF paint before it went into service.

If you click on "catalog" on the Atlas website, you'll find them. BTW they will be officially announced in April. Ciao. RG

Of course, one of the numbers they announced is the one I already custom painted up myself, which I suppose is not too surprising since I tried to pick one that would be the least effort to match with the Atlas GP38 I bought. I guess that means I should get the most mileage out of my model now, while it's still rather unique:

Atlas announced today its new run of GP38/40s, including the blue & White BNSF units and other interesting paint schemes. The announcement includes also a new run of former BLMA NS TopGons. Ciao. RG

I've never seen these smurfs before but I'd love to have 1 or 2 for my collection.
