Hello all,
I want to replace the ditch lights on my IM SD40-2Ws, they're just too weak to live with. I'd like to start by getting the existing micro LEDs out but they seem to be glued in.
Has anyone been able to remove these LEDs without destroying them? If so, how did you do it?
Also, is there a parts diagram for these units? I had no luck finding one on the IM website.
Thanks,
David

The housings should be press fit or snap in. The LEDs should be mounted to rods/posts under the housings.
Instead of going at the LEDs, I read somewhere that you can remove resistors from the board to reduce the resistance slightly to make the lights brighter. Let me look around and see whether I can find it again.

Before replacing them, I would check to make sure they are mounted where they are supposed to go. The ditch lights on my SD40-2W are more than bright enough. I could just e lucky, or yours may need to be adjusted, if possible.
