Cannon and Company the industry leader in precision HO scale Diesel Detailing parts, is proud to finally release two long awaited First Generation Fan parts, our 1707 - 36 Inch Thin Wall Cap Top Fan and our 1854 – 48 Inch Thin Wall Cap Top Fan. Each kits is comprised of precision multi part styrene castings and come with separate Nickel Silver photo etched Fan Blades and Grilles along with the forming tool for the Grilles.
 
The 1707 – 36 Inch Fan is applicable to F-Units in both Radiator and Dynamic applications, all phases of GP7s and GP9s again in Radiator and some Dynamic applications, GP20 Radiator, SD7 in Dynamic and Radiator applications, SD9 in Dynamic and Radiator applications, and SD18 & SD24 Dynamic applications. Other applications are possible, we recommend consulting photos. The 1707 is packaged 4 complete fans per kit and is priced at $16.00.
 
The 1854 – 48 Inch Fan is applicable to Late F7 and F9 Dynamic applications, Some GP7 and GP9 Dynamic applications. Other applications are possible, we recommend consulting photos.The 1854 is packaged 2 complete fans per kit and is priced at $9.50.

I'm headed to the PNW RPM meet (tomorrow in Seattle), then on to Naperville (next weekend) and will have some parts available. Direct orders will be shipped on my return on the 23rd. I also shipped a large order to Walthers that they should get today, so they will start trickling into the hobby shops.

There is always room for improvement though, especially when it involves Cannon parts. Unfortunately, there weren't any Cannon parts you could add to an E unit, til now.

One question I have involves the etching for the fan guard. Will it come preformed in a dome shape, or will that be up to the modeler? If so, how fool proof will the bending be?

The kits come with a forming tool and instructions for forming the grilles.
