Have these cars ever been offered in HO? The MHCs, boxcars and RoadRailers have been done, but I haven't seen any refrigeration cars. Anyone know?

No, they definitely haven't been offered in HO - I'm almost positive not even in brass. I think they were just too short-lived in their prototype service and too unique for someone to produce a plastic model. The express box cars and RoadRailers were around a little longer, and those models could be used to represent other roadnames too (even if not completely accurate in most cases), but I think the reefers were unique.
Where did those reefers end up, anyway?

Where did those reefers end up, anyway? Dave From what I've been able to find just now, it looks like most of them have been sold off. Iowa Pacific Freight Express is reported to have bought quite a few of them. I think some may have headed to Texas and California, as well. |
