Saw this on weather.com, a stack train got blown off of a high steel trestle in New Mexico: This has happened more than a few times west of me on the causeway over Sandusky Bay here in northern Ohio.

Roger, Sandusky Bay can get upside down (not a pretty sight to see) when a gale force wind blows. I recall one such day when the waves was void of "Christmas Trees" and blowing spray on the Route 2/269 bridge from the waves crashing into the rip rap rocks..
I recall a CR train derail near the curve at Danbury/Sonny's Beach area back in and IIRC the early 90s.

We had a stack train blow over due to straight line winds a few years ago, just south of Alliance Yard. It was a short time after a big washout caused a derailment at Valley View, near the Red River. I lost interest in working over the road around that time.

I lost interest in working over the road around that time. I'm sure that was just a coincidence...

I lost interest in working over the road around that time. I'm sure that was just a coincidence... The only run we have that makes any real money requires about 20 years of seniority to hold. I can make "road" money by getting OT in the yard, so that's what I do.
