Is Foundry Coke the same as just Coke?
I want to make some Coke loads using real Coke crushed to size. It will have the same color and such. I found Foundry Coke on Ebay. Just wanted to know if that was the same as the Coke we would see being hauled to the steel mills.

It's more like New Coke.

Foundry coke is pretty much the came from a chemical standpoint as met. coke. However, foundry coke is made to a coarser size than met. coke. There is also a coke known as Pet Coke, (petroleum coke). This is a byproduct made at refinerys. This is a different kind of high carbon coke and can be produced into many various types of coke, although it is usually small , kind of pellet sized, from my experience with it. Jeff
