I can’t remember if I ever asked here- how does that fare brushing on models compared to other brands? Thanks in advance

It depends on how big of an area you want to do. I've used it for touch ups and small details, but it does streak on larger flat surfaces.

The 800 series paints are brushable. I've tried it with the other number paints and as mentioned it doesn't cover well.

Is it acrylic or oil based?

Tru-Color is acetone based.

I have not tried the brushable line they now make, but the regular line, no, you can not really brush it at all. You can do some light touchup, but thats about it.
