Another paint question. I have used Modelflex paint in the past but it has a tendency to dry on the airbrush tip. Was wondering if anyone has used Vallejo "Flow Improver" with Modelflex.
Or, any other products with Modelflex to "retard" the tip drying.
TIA. Bob

Hi,
Model flex paint is usually pretty old is it not?
I had similar experiences to yours with other paint brands last year and found the way to "retard" the paint drying on the tip is to work faster. Too much of that flow improver could cause blotching.
But if the paint is too old and contains micro-impurities, that trumps the above and you should look for different, newer paint.
YMMV.

Another paint question. I have used Modelflex paint in the past but it has a tendency to dry on the airbrush tip. Was wondering if anyone has used Vallejo "Flow Improver" with Modelflex. Or, any other products with Modelflex to "retard" the tip drying. I've used Liqutex retarder with Modelflex and it helped. I now have the Vallejo "Flow Improver" (retarder) and it works fine with my current paints. I gave up on Modelflex a while back. I loved the paint and loved the colors. BUT the stuff turns to goo in those plastic bottles very quickly and it's too much of an expense for me to keep everything fresh. Since you have both the Vallejo and the Modelflex, give it a try.
