Hello all--
I've been on Ebay for many years.
However, currently, I cannot sign out. I cannot log in. I went through the change password procedure and correctly changed the pw (more than once). I still cannot sign in because it tells me my pw is incorrect.
My account has not been hacked. I'm currently receiving items that I ordered and purchased, and things otherwise look ok.
How can I get to a person to attempt to get this fixed? I've been through the Ebay website and its most unhelpful help articles.
I am using Windows Edge.
I would close my account, too, but I am not able to do that either.
Sincerely,
John

I don't understand how you can say "I cannot sign out." and "I still cannot sign in..." Seems like it's one or the other.
Can you move around in ebay? can you enter new search terms and it works? Can you buy stuff? If all that's working, then it would appear you are "permanently" signed in.
Might try a different computer.
If no one here can help (and I don't have anything), you might try using various search terms out in the big world. I just did a version, and someone said make sure the Cap Lock is not on.
Good luck,
Ed

I wonder if it might log you out automatically after some period of inactivity?

It could possibly be my employer's antivirus software.
I AM signed in. In fact, I cannot sign out. That option does not appear anywhere (certainly NOT where the instructions tell you that it is). However, when I go to do certain things, Ebay then prompts me for my username and password, but it will not accept anything that I key in, and I cannot complete those tasks.
So I cannot make any account changes whatsoever.
On my work computer, ebay is displaying a previous user login name that I used. It prompts me to change my password, but when completed, the new password will not work.
Now that I am home, it appears that it will work--the password I used earlier today does in fact work.
So possibly a cookie/software platform issue?
Thank you all.

Clear cookies and it should go away.
