I want to try airbrushing acrylic paint. Bought some ModelFlex paint and cleaner. Can anyone give me any suggestion on how to thin and with what? Any tips will be much appreciated.

So long as it's fresh it is ready to go out of the bottle. Use a #5 tip and about 20 - 25lb pressure. If dilution is needed for a #4 tip, use water.
I mention "fresh" because ModelFlex has a notoriously short shelf life.

How long is the shelf life usually? My experiences with shelf life have not been good. I have no local hobby shop so I rely on mail orders. I have no clue as to how long it has been on a dealer's shelf. I have received bottles that are pre-congealed. If it is still liquid when I receive it I can count on a year or so UNOPENED. Once opened I count on a couple of months. Some folks put this "problem" to the plastic bottles. Others to how it is stored. I love the stuff fresh, but with mail order no longer trust it. A few years ago I changed over to AK Interactive and Vallejo paints and have had no problems with paint in their plastic bottles.
