Solvaset different formula?

Just picked a new bottle of solvaset. It's not a crystal clear liquid like every other bottle I've had. It's got a slight yellow tinge and when not shaken there is yellow crap settled at bottom of bottle. And this new bottle no longer has a brush cap.

I never noticed any yellow stuff in the bottle that I just got.

As far as the brush, I just kept the cap from my old bottle and threw out the new brushless cap.

I don't think there should be any solids in a decal solvent. Perhaps a color tinge, but no solids.

I don't trust it at all.

I shook the bottle up todsy and there was a yellow wave of crap in it. Definitely not using this bottle.

I would return it. That’s definitely not normal. That sucks about the cap as it’s very convenient.

Not worth the hour drive. There is another shop that deals with plane models i'll stop by and grab a bottle from him but will check it. Now that it has been siting for a few days the bottom of the jar is yellow. Its really gross.

Is there a Generic version of Solvaset? You know, sort of like how MEK and Xylene are generic (and probably highly concentrated!) versions of liquid plastic cement and Dio-Sol, respectively.

I was a hobby shop in Northridge, CA and they had several bottles of Solvaset that were perfectly clear.
