I know ST had their setbacks in 2022, but I'm surprised their only announcements up to and including Amherst are rolling stock items? I thought for sure the MTH tooling or other locomotives would be announced by now. Just based on timing this means it's unlikely we see many locos in 2023 from them. Maybe they are taking some time to regroup? It just seemed underwhelming.

I've been waiting for ST to announce more SD45's but all quiet on the mid-western front there. Probably Chinese factory issues causing the slow downs too. COVID may be at play there too.

Also wasn't the GP30 announced at Amherst? So there's two newly tooled locomotives.
Maybe there their taking the approach of not over announcing and under delivering like some of the companies.

There were undecorated Operator SD45s announced, the product overview saying they'd be available around 2022-12-31. Now the ETA notice is gone and there is no clue about their delivery anymore at all. Guess I'll just wait and see what happens, I have one on order plus the detailing set.

Yeah I'm slightly dissapointed in their lack of keeping up with shipping dates. They had a new facility video that showed plenty of staff but the perception a lot of us in the public have is the organization and execution going on behind closed doors seems very lax. I'm not sure if it's an approach of take it easy while in office because of all the weekends and other times they work or what but my experiences with them have left me frustrated at times with delays in answers, fixes, products and more. Organization and function appears to be lacking but I could be wrong. We only see a small slice of what is really going on. Still they should have it together enough to regularly update their shipping ETAs IMHO.

I'm used to delays of some sort anymore. I expect the many restrictions being place on people in China has hit factory production by a good measure. Add to that travel restrictions and quarantine periods. Imagine this makes it difficult for the US offices to control quality and turnaround.

I don't have a problem with the delays, just the fact that they don't update their website often to adjust for the delays. There have been some items showing delivery dates such as "fall 2022" in winter of 2022. That type of stuff can easily be avoided. They already give such a wide range by generalizing which season when many companies say what month. But yet ST can't even update that timely. There's a few people there including their video guy Drayton that just have are not mature or organized enough to work at a model train company.

So lets cut to the chase here. What exactly is your axe to grind with ScaleTrains?
Your OP was about no locomotives announced from them in 2022, and you were not correct on that. You didn't even respond with a my mistake or something like that and let it go.
Now its production delays, and immature employees.

To clarify, I was stating their announcements recently and up to Amherst 2023 are just rolling stock. My only mention of 2022 was their struggles, not that they didn't announce locos. They just said they will have rolling stock only announcements at Cocoa Beach and Amherst. So nothing was disproven maybe I didn't convey myself as clearly as needed. Secondly, I don't have an axe to grind. For you to get all sensitive on a forum that is constantly bashing many manufacturers is comical. I don't like their disorganization and one employee, but that isn't an axe to grind it's just my opinion. Take it or leave it, but don't act like you've never heard of complaints on this forum of all things. Apparently, they can do no wrong in your book for you to take such a staunch defense so have it your way in your own fantasy land for all I care ffs.

In other words you're suprised you thought you speculate this means you think maybe it just seemed?

Huh? You lost me. But that's fine. My statement stands that ST has a lot that needs to be adjusted in organization and efficiency. They're a nice group of guys but so much disorganization on public display.
