Got an email from them "Arriving Soon at Atlas" saying they're expecting this week the most recent run of GP40s. Looks to be the ones announced 8/21 which include CP Rail red, CSX YN2, CSX MOW, Maine Central (patched ex-CR units), MKT, Port Harbor 1st responders, Santa Fe, PC, D&RGW, UP, NYS&W and possibly also the OLS 50th anniversary unit. Undec also but only non-dynamic brake.
Looks like I preordered just an undec for this run, no idea why, but given the June arrival it's not a big deal. These will be old hat by the time I do another train show.
Looks like the remainder of the Trainman 50' box cars and the beer trailers are coming too.

Atlas undecorated EMD locomotive models typically come with both the DB and Non-DB hatch. I do not read anywhere in the description that they are only Non-DB version.

I'm going by the description on the listing at archive.atlasrr.com/HOLoco/arc-hogp3840.htm which says a 10 000 079 is undec w/o DB. But I guess we'll see what's there when it shows up. I can't remember now if someone asked me to get this one or I just looked on eBay when they announced these to see what ones were actually selling. A little shocked I didn't get a NYS&W, I would think I could sell that locally no problem.

My undecorated GP40's came with a DB and non DB hatch. This run was about 15 years ago.

The Atlas GP40 model is in need of some updates. Wonder if that will happen. Not optimistic. But, would like to see the cartons of undec shells come in stock.

Still not here. But some Bowser 100T hoppers showed up out of the blue. I had preordered all six NS numbers.

Atlas is a good model builders model and I am pretty sure none of the others being offered will come as an undecorated model. Although I do agree that the Atlas model is a bit dated, but makes for a good finished model with some effort. Runs well too and none of the Atlas GP40's I have ever owned came glued together.
