Well most of the day has past and no one has started yet so I guess I will. A lot of cars thru the primer stage to find the mishaps on this one. Most of these cars will be on display at Collinsville RPM. First up are the two boxcars I am doing for the Bash n Build at the Carolina RPM in September. These Cars were taken By Southern from the Central of Georgia 40 ft fleet and stretched to 50 ft cars. Some cars kept the door and half design and others got the 10 Youngstown. Here we have another convert to Southern from the original Norfolk Southern with a combo door design. 8ft plug and 6 ft sliding. Last is an oddball which is going to be an ICG car. Saw a pic of the prototype and knew it needed to be modeled. Right now all are sitting on shop trucks for the pics. Most will be painted and done after the Collinsvile meet. Hope to see some of you guys there.

I've been working on getting passenger service on the line where "nature smiles for 300 miles"... CB&Q train #21, the Morning Zephyr makes its scheduled 12:10pm stop at East Dubuque, IL in September 1969. Tim VanMersbergen

I am starting to see MU stands in my sleep. Here are two more style I did this weekend that I am REALLY happy with the results. The top is the 1st Generation EMD (GP7-18 and some others), the bottom is the Dash 2 style stand.

I made my Mercersburg caboose presentable early in the week, to take to a meet this weekend... only to get sick and miss the meet.

beginning of a very busy shift in Divide tower on saturday morning, layout was fully staffed so I had the "full schedule" thrown at me, as the session wound on I had 2-4 trains in electric territory at all times, multiple freight jobs working and a pair of meets in manual block 251 territory to set up. That block sheet didn't stay clean for very long.

I picked up some undecorated containers on ebay some time ago. The "K Line" decals I wanted would be very expensive for the number of containers I bought but besides that I wanted to do my own number jumbles. The Hapag-Lloyd decals available are inadequate at best. When a modeler on another forum asked about container decals I responded since I was already on the case for one of the schemes he wanted. The Capital Lease Hamburg scheme he wanted was easy enough once I had all the data sorted out. If I can find a similar inexpensive source for standard height containers I'll probably do even more of these decals, especially those mid-80s schemes that seem to elude the manufacturers' attention. I'm also thinking about working up the dry version of the Fruehauf standard height reefer container I printed since that would open up a lot of possibilities for containers from the mid-80s. Anyway, I had PDC print these decals for me and as usual they are outstanding quality. I'm looking forward to putting them to use.
