I am looking for suggestions of sources of bridge plates used on 60s era intermodal flats and tri level auto rack cars. I am in need of replacements for broken items on Athearn 85ft flats and Genesis tri levels in particular. I don’t see any listing fir these parts on the Athearn site.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks for the reply. I was aware of the DW part, and as a last resort I will go that route. Is that the only after market source? I am hoping there are other options I’m not aware of, preferably in plastic. It seems like a fairly common part, and one of those details that gets broken and lost often, like steps on freight cars.

Those old Walthers GSC Flat Car kits had crude looking, compared to the DW part, bridge plates. They'll do if you only need a couple if the kit was built into a bulkhead flat.

Wow. I forgot Accurail made the open auto racks! It was quite awhile ago. I think they were the first?
Those detail sprues for the autoracks are just what I need, at least on the racks that have missing plates.
Looking at the flat car sprues, I see the short crossover late, but I don’t see the long one. Am I missing it? I primarily need the long plate, the one that has the stiffening ribs like the DW part.

Accurail retired those kits and sold the tooling some time ago. Doesn't mean they couldn't have some leftovers on hand, but there won't be any more in the future.

Tom The long bridge plates are on the sprue with the bolster parts.
