I'd like to replace the #5 style couplers on my Intermountain UP cabooses with #158's. Anyone attempted this? It looks like it was screwed in from the other side?!?

welcome to intermountain and their lovely glued on coupler boxes that plague a significant portion of their cars. when i first got back into modeling i put extra weight in a intermoutain 40' boxcar with a glued box, it made it halfway around the club layout in a train of 6-8oz cars before i had modeled a prototypical drawbar pull.
gently pry it off with a hobby knife and tap a proper 2-56 mount. kadee sells tapping kits for this, scale model supplies in st paul should have them.
