Hi Crew,
I hope I'm not violating any rules but I'm just as curious as are a number of our fellow modelers.
It's no secret that The Kalmback MRR Forum seems to be in "Penn Central wreck " mode and has been extremely difficult to access it or log into for several days.
Does anyone know if Kalmbach decided to pull the plug on it?

I check it now and then. There have been times in the past where MR forums were like this - so sluggish as to be unusable. We won't know until the fat lady sings or goes altogether silent.

I don't KNOW, but I doubt Kalmbach would "pull the plug" in such a manner. I expect they'd run an announcement, and then shut it down--from ON to OFF. Not just make it slow on purpose.
My first guess is that it's slow form heavy traffic, either to the forum, or to the hosting computer. I've seen rrpicturearchives have bouts of slowness.

It could be that no one was minding the store over the holidays. The old Atlas forum would sometimes close down during company vacations.

Gentlemen,
Thanks! Although, for the past year, I've been more of a "Lurker" than a "Poster", I still value and enjoy reading the content of both forums.

Hello Model Folks, I like working with Dave's* Weathering Powers. Nice color pigment assortments, easy to work with and blend.... I use only a simple rattle-can of Testors* Dull Coat to seal powders. Use a piece if fine sand-paper sheet as my mixing pallet. Good art-brush assortments, pointed, flat and fan types, in several small sizes.
Always take the Dull-coat can and heat it up(It excites the can gas's) this creates a lite'r spray-mist as well. Clean the spray nozzle often. Always apply in lite layers, and always checking under several kinds light sources. Some of my fun model work. Hope this image link works Link:
