I have finally got around to running some ofvmy models. One of the problems I am having is with Overlands dogbone in their diesels. The little plastic bushing on the the shaft looses its grip and becomes loose and causes the drive not to work. Does anyone know a fix or replacement for these parts or a dogbone replacement? Ajin redesigned these in late models to solve this issue. Models I am having problems with are mid to late 90s.

I've had some success with rear view mirror glue. CA won't work because it has little lateral strength, the mirror glue takes a few minutes to set, but once it does, it has excellent shear strength.

Check with American Scale Models. Years ago he bought all the Overland O scale parts and he may have the HO as well. I also suggest you contact him even if you don't see something on his website. He has a lot of stuff that doesn't show up there or on ebay.
Of course that may end being bad part replacement for like bad part, so it may not be a long term fix.

Brass Trains in Ocala, FL sold brass replacements. Check with them to see if they still do. Solder them to the shaft. I had a person cast me a bunch and replaced them on all my models. He tired to sell them too others, but there were no takers. Even a famous hobby shop in my area told me there no market for them. Now they want me to sell them my extras. Go figure.
