Nice E unit. REcently while on a long weekend away my wife and I were in Harrodsburg, KY and encountered a bit of street side running on the NS. Trains come out of a tunnel portal looking stand of trees, making 90 degree turn, run about 2 blocks then turn left again. Here a NS stack train makes the first turn along the street.

Happy Fathers Day everyone. I am celebrating my first one today. I got a little weathering done on my commuter coach, along with glass and window shades. I also managed to get up to IRM to measure and photograph the real thing, so I can now accurately model the underframes.

Jim, John, and Rick, very nice. Like the Chi town commuter modeling, particularly the old RI coach. It is a classic. Bill

John,
I really like the "filth" on your Rock Island coach. It really captures the look of those car in the years just prior to the RTA's formation. The RTA provided a much needed influx of capital into the Rock Island's commuter operation.

Rick J Rick, Did the 17,360 tank car come unassembled or did you start with an undecorated, assembled model? Nice work, by the way!

Rick J Rick, Did the 17,360 tank car come unassembled or did you start with an undecorated, assembled model? Nice work, by the way! I looked at my other 17,360 Gallon Tank Car, and it is an undecorated assembled model. It seems that every Atlas Tank Car comes differently, some are assembled others need all the detail pieces glued on or some combination between fully assembled and add all the detail. The same holds true for the ACF 4650 Covered Hoppers, I have them with all the pieces to add and others with the hatches glued on and I needed to change them what a PITA. Thanks for the compliment! Rick J

Karl Great scene to model since the house is so close to the tracks. You see this type of scene in HO due to the lack of space, but the prototype running down a street in front of a house is amazing. The train speed limit must be very slow in town. Larry
