Have been thinking about going to explore the Arizona Eastern Railway and was hoping to find information about operations, frequency, equipment, etc. Doing searches, it appears the EMD E-9 they had painted in the SP Black Widow type scheme is gone. Saw a picture posted recently of several yellow and orange locomotives at the head of a train near Safford, AZ. Any other train related displays in the area of Safford?

The Arizona Eastern was sold to Genessee & Wyoming holding corporation in 2011. The former SP styled black widow E8Am is now painted in an Illinois Central inspired livery and working out of Illinois.
G&W is now using GE B40-8's as power. The excursions run by by AE's former owner Iowa Pacific ended with the sale of the line.
