Good Morning to all the Forum Folks.
We've got pots of regular and unleaded coffees brewed up to help you get your day started.
I figured that with all the visiting, celebrating, race watching, grilling and memorializing, most everyone over-indulged a good bit yesterday. So, we'll go with some lighter fare today. We do have some leftover steaks from all the cookouts, so you can have a steak sandwich or steak & eggs if you'd like.
Had a fairly quiet day at work, but not comepletely without incidents. We're waiting on what's left of Beryl to arrive. We can use some more rain, but don't need any severe weather. No train time last night. I want to remedy that this evening, weather and call outs, permitting.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Yesterday we prepared and served supper to about a dozen friends and volunteers in anticipation of their work over the coming week. Today they began earning their dinner, and breakfast Sunday. They are checking in visitors ina driving thunderstorm, with any luck it will clear off about the time they are done...

Good morning everybody. I have one son left at home, but it a few weeks, he'll be leaving for Iowa. Sadly he'll be taking his cat with him. She is the best cat we've ever had when it comes to models. She never touches them, but loves to watch the train go. As a matter of fact, she'll even come and beg us to run the train for her. She'll get on her stool and watch, but never make any move to attack it. I even forgot to close the model room door once, and all she did was go in and lie on her stool. While I was running the train for her last night, I thought how much I would miss that scene.
I don't know how much of anything I'll get done today. I've got a dental appointment in a couple of hours.

Good Evening James and Douglas.
Been a very long day once again at work, but at least it's over. I'm relaxing with a glass of wine before bedtime.
James, nice story about another day on the rails with steam. Sorry I can't help you with your question, though.
Douglas, the two cats I have would never be able to sit still that long with a train running! ;D
