Over the winter I expanded my train room into the adjoining rec room. A wall was taken down and I had to install a suspended ceiling. Here's the view from the bottom of the stairway... More shots and info here... jbritton.pennsyrr.com/?p=559

Here is this weeks batch of completed HO Scale freight cars! Bower 1958CF ACF Covered Hopper kit, painted white and lettered with Herald King Decals. Eastern Car Works 1958 ACF Covered Hopper painted Gray and lettered with Champ Decals. Could not determine from many sources if the GN ever painted their covered hoppers in this scheme! Atlas 3500CF ACF Covered Hopper, painted gray and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. Thanks for looking! Rick J

An early "Platinum" B&W photo of a Southern 2-8-0 #722 "Consolidation". This steamer was from the first run of Spectrum steam locomotives in 2002 and is still going strong. This 2-8-0 is on a siding west of San Marino near the San Marino Cash Coal Mine. The San Marino junk yard is in the foreground. The JJJ&E is an N scale railroad. Stay cool and run steam.....

Since this is all scales, I'll mix it up... First, something in HO Scale... mmm, donuts... (and coffee I suppose, though I don't drink it)] Down to N Scale...mmm, beer (I don't drink that either, unless it has "root" in front of it, but I was a big Simpsons fan) Both of the above were done with home-brewed decals. The Duff Beer car is at least 15 years old now. Finally a shot of the Carrolls Restuarant on my N Scale Wilmington and New York Railroad: This is (as you've probably guessed a modified Bachmann built-up Hamburger Stand). The Carrolls Restaurant Group is still in business, but they are a franchisee of Burger Kings now: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrols_Restaurant_Group

Ok back at it and having fun.Got the trucking company this far this weekend.I extended the left side wall so the building was setting straight and made a new as yet not finished roof (details).I will be working on Kindel Furniture (to the left)today so I can get this section done. Then from there to the right side to get Fowler's Fine Furniture up to snuff. Anywho this is this weeks progress. Oh, this one is N scale ;D

This one is On30 ;D We are just about ready to start putting down road bed and track (modified ATLAS code100 flex). That is my partner in crime Bill inside the layout which is 8' wide and 19' long. The green loco in the pic is a KATO NW-2 that I converted to On30 about 10 years ago.

There is an amazing assortment of talent here. Your pictures are all quite inspiring. I've been involved in another project, so I haven't accomplished much on my layout for the past few days. I'll share with you what I did with Walther's "art deco" underpass. This is in N scale, and the pictures are old. The area now is substantially sceniced.. This was supposed to have an abandoned track on it, but that track became a siding. This is two kits, made into 1 1/2 kits. It builds up into a rather presentable model. To the right is Walther's Pella depot. In real life, it has a window factory on the far side of it, but in my world, it gets hills.
