We made it to Friday. Last night was another jam session. It was out in the "flats", so we got to really crank up the amps without having the law called on us. That's good, because one of the people that joined us is a state trooper.
It's back to the real world today, so more work on the MRI trailer, but then I'll hit the train room for an operating session.
Check in and tell us what's happening in your world.

Another 9 hours on my feet running trains. First and third Friday. First operator showed up at noon, locked the doors at 9PM. Had about 14 operators tonight....not counting 9 kids and various adults with them. Only serious issue was a diseasemal who failed to observe flags and rear-ended a train holding for a meet. About six cars on the ground, but got it all back together again, continued on. No Atlas trains were hurt....but that's because Atlas doesn't make anything in this scale! Dave

I always look forward to Friday nights. Of course, by the time I get home it's usually early Saturday. My Thursday and Friday is spent switching on the lead at a pretty large yard, so my feet and knees hurt pretty bad by the time I'm loading up to go home. The best part of my work week is the weekend, because on Saturday and Sunday I work a yard transfer job that takes a train from my railroad to another railroad's yard, then picks one up at their yard and brings it back where I started. It's much easier on the body to simply talk to the dispatcher and knock down signals. However, I'll be paying for it Monday when I'm back on the lead switching cars again. Still, a bad day switching is better than a good day in the office!

While there's not much going on in the model railroad world at my house, we've gone camping, and our "local" museum is having excursions with one of the TVRM's steam engines this weekend. They are also having a one-way excursion next Saturday, from the museum to a point very close to my house. While I can't get there this weekend, I am hoping to catch the train next weekend, and walking or catching a cab back to my house.

It's been one heck of a week!!! By the time I've gotten home every night this week, I've been too tired, mentally & physically do even turn the computer on. Working, taxi-ing and sleep is about all I've done. The Tuesday night Town board meeting went as expected and the complainer "got his way", albeit, temporarily, I'm sure. As soon as all the people in Town who will be affected by the Board's decision are notified by registered mail, there will be a lot of people who won't be happy and I forsee a change made to the ordinance that will make the original complainer, VERY, VERY ANGRY. He just doesn't understand, yet, what he started. LD & Adam are took me out for an early Father's Day breakfast, as this is my only day off and I have to work tomorrow. If at all possible, I'm going to try to take Wed or Thur off this week, but I'm not hopeful. Picked up a new, 14mp digital camera that was on sale and I've got to "play" with it a while to see if it's as good or better then the 10mp one I currently use. Hope that everyone is having a good day.
