I placed a diagram of my layout up on the N scale side recently, and have been having a blast viewing all the suggestions that others are offering on it. It got me to thinking that it might be fun to have a little track planning fun, where a room of a given size is offered, and those that enjoy track planning could design layouts to fit in it.
I'm not suggesting this as a contest, but more as a learning tool. There are many who are new to modeling, who would benefit from your expertise, and many experienced designers that would refine their skills. All would just have fun.
What I'm suggesting, would be where a track plan is submitted, and others then offer their proposals and refinements on that plan.
I haven't run this past Donnell yet, but if he approves, and if there is enough interest, I'll draw up some rules and guide lines, and get this started. If you would be interested, just leave a simple "I'm in" type reply on this thread.

I think its a great idea! Anything that promotes active participation in the hobby is a big plus in my book! I think this could be one of those long running threads, so it shall be "stickied" to the top the the board.
