I will start this weeks effort with some HO cars that I recently finished! This is a Robbins Rails/A-Line Greenville 60' Boxcar. The car originally came with plug doors, I carved those off and then glued a pair of Atlas doors from their 60' ACF cars that fit perfectly. I also purchased the door tracks and glued those in place also. I changed the wheelbase from 41' to 46' and attached a Details West Cushion Coupler Pocket along with a walkover platform from the junk box. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Black Paint and lettered with Mark Vaughn's decals. This was one of two cars the Clinchfield used to service a paper mill in Kingsport, TN. Athearn Chemical Tank car with no modifications, painted with Scalecoat II Black Paint and lettered with Herald King decals. Thanks for looking! Rick J

Rick, that boxcar is great! I started looking at it and tilted my head to the side thinking I knew where it came from, but then noticed all the things that didn't add up. Reading your description confirmed the source of the model but wow, you really did a lot of work to take it from its starting point. Fantastic work!

Rick, I know you heavily modify a lot of your cars, but this one seems to have involved the most amount of work, lately. It's a good looking car, that's for sure.

I painted 2 boxcars into the newer repaint Pan Am scheme recently using Floquil dark blue and Higball Graphic's decals. traindude

Traindude The Pan Am car really shows off the logo. Do you have any Pan Am power? They have some great paint schemes. Larry

Hi Larry, Actually I do. Just recently picked up MEC 352 which received a 4 function decoder and SMD LED ditch lights. Here she is with ST 45 coming off the branch. traindude
