Good Morning to all the Forum Folks.
Cloudy, quite breezy but little to no rain, as we're at the outer edges of Sandy. Went to bed around 8:30 and finally got up around 7:45. The coffee's on and the tea is boiling. Going for a light fare this morning. Eggs, bacon, toast, biscuits, grits & oatmeal. The milks, juices and canned drinks are in the ice tub.
I might get out back for a while today. We'll see how it goes. Certainly not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.
That's a nice find, Terry. Hope you can post some pics when you have it operational.
While on vacation, I did find a small hobby shop near where my parents live. Small, but jam packed with LGB, O, HO and N, plus R/C and model car/truck kits. Based on the phone calls recevied during my 2 brief visits, he does a fair amount of special ordering for his customers. I picked up a couple of "used"(pre-bought?) kits for good prices. Also bought myself a Bachman 70 tonner, a couple lowboy semi-truck/trailers with CAT loads and 2, Atlas KB&S semi-trailers.
Hope that one and all have a good week.

Mike, the MAC is operational now, though with a few missing pieces and DC only. As long as an FRA inspector doesn't see it, and sideline it for the missing grab irons and handrails, it should be good to go. I'm heading to my nephew's house, his car has a check engine light on, and it won't pass inspection that way. Even if it's just a loose gas cap, or a gear selector sensor out of spec.

No website, only phone or in-person orders. They can confirm if they have what you want, then ship it. They do have Atlas O.

Riding out the hurricane here in Philadelphia. Just a moderate rain right now. Stay safe. The storm will probably dump a lot of rain on your area but the costal areas will really get hit hard with wind, rain and the surge of the water on the shores. Is the surge expected to raise the water level in the river around Philadelphia? I worked at the airport on the electronics gear and the water table is already a problem around that airport! Larry

Thanks, Larry. Philadelphia should be ok. I haven't read anything about the Delaware or Schuylkill Rivers rising due to storm surge. They will probably both flood because of the rain. I just read that a buoy offshore recorded pressure at 943 mb, which corresponds to a weak category 4. I sure hope that's not the case. I pray that the people on the coasts are safe. There was a lot of talk that this storm was overblown, but NOAA pleaded for people not to underestimate it. Ocean City, NJ appears to already be under water. philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2012/10/29/worst-case-scenario/Peter

James, I can't help you with the trucks you're looking for, but do want you to know, I did get your picture via e-mail and I will get it posted for you as soon as possible. You might want to mention the scale that you're working in, for those coaches. I'm not sure so I won't muddy the waters by posting incorrect information.

I've been a little scarce around here lately. It's craft show season, so I've got the lathes working overtime. I'm also still involved in the MRI trailer build, but I'm finally seeing the end in sight on that one. I hope everybody made it through the storms safely.
