Based on the their FB on June 7th, model railroaders have scoured the 'net looking for photos online to match the "blacked-out" images in their photograph. Clockwise starting on the upper left, others had identified the images to be a CN GP9RM, a CP C-Liner, a passenger train, and an EL SD45 - IF the black-out images are to be trusted. Three of the models announced will be in HO, and the final one will be in N-scale.

Based on the recent bus releases, I'm hoping for a '50s Plymouth Savoy taxi.

Hmm ... "a passenger train" -- as in, possibly, a Rohr Turboliner?

Let's hope that Rapido expands their HO vehicle line to include cars, SUV's, vans and trucks for North America in the 1960-present time frame. I'll take the 2011 Ford Taurus and Explorer Yes, it's fun to dream!

Hmm ... "a passenger train" -- as in, possibly, a Rohr Turboliner? The photo that matched the one in Rapido's post was of an early VIA passenger train with couple F's pulling the passenger cars. Again, all of this could be a false flag. And there is still the question of what scale gets what.

Iβd have to echo that. Quite a unique concept. To bad Jason et al didnβt get ahold of that thing.

Maybe something for western US fans? There is something in there for Western US fans. I don't think I'll be in trouble for saying that... Get it done Gareth. We get a surprising number of requests for these. We'd love to do them but we're busy on other passenger car types for the next year or so at least. Never say never though. Based on the their FB on June 7th, model railroaders have scoured the 'net looking for photos online to match the "blacked-out" images in their photograph. We're not so obvious as to make the pictures exactly what we're announcing, although there's usually a hint in each picture somewhere... unless Jason is in a really mischievous mood! Thanks and tune in everyone on Monday afternoon! -Rapido Gareth

Many seem to think the Tempo is coming, and if so I doubt that they would bring out the Turbo at the same time as to a certain extent to two passengers trains would eat into each others sales given the hobbyist budget in any given year.

Tempo would appeal to Canadian and 1988+ Rio Grande ski train modelers alike so guessing it would be popular. It's way past my modeling period however.

Well then it has to be the lower left photo because the two trailing units are GE. The second unit almost looks like a U25B to me with the raised walkway at toward the rear of the unit. They have GE fuel tanks. That is all I have because I do not know of any Canadian railroad that uses 4 axle GE's. The upper left appears to be some sort of Canadian barn type locomotive. The right hand photos are a ? for me. Definitely something Canadian with the lower right being the passenger variety. Brian

We know how resourceful you guys all are so we have to make it a little difficult! CN and CP didn't roster active four-axle GEs but several other Canadian railroads have over the years, the most famous being British Columbia Railway (B36-7s, B39-8E and B40-8) and Rocky Mountaineer (B36-7). -Rapido Gareth

Shot in dark....articulated well cars like the new BNSF from NSC TTX too. Even longer shot signal varieties for GRS type D and sane for Safetran that also includes Canadian variants. B30-7A and up to B39-8Es. Maybe new NSC gondolas that would suit BNSF, TTX, CP, ATW. North American vehicles maybe better luck in Canada π¨π¦ since the USA πΊπΈ has different issues with manufacture of prototypes to models if you will. ?

One of the new models is a brand spanking new RS-11...and in New Haven! Yay! Finally, an accurate NH RS-11.
Also, the RS-18 and the Tempo cars.
And then Janet dropped a beer.

Was hoping for a wide body SD50 but the PRR RS-11's will do.

No Delaware & Hudson RS-11's in Rapido's first run. But I'm confident they'll be coming later. The tooling allowing for numerous detail variations, including the arrangement of the filter openings on the sides of the long hood, looks very, very good.
Added at 4:06 p.m.: Rapido's own website seems to be taking a little while to catch up with the announcements made in the live session on Faceboook.
