Thanks for the coverage. I was really hoping for an SDL39 announcement, but I guess it’s not to be.

Nothing at all said about the SW1200's! Showed them but had no idea what you were looking at.
Those are a big deal. Especially it coming from the best manufacturer to date so far. Rapido!
Now I am happy I missed out on the Walthers SW's. I'll wait patiently for the Rapido model. Definitely in for between 4 and 6 of these.

I saw a Facebook post by Model Railroad News, but no mention of the roadnames for this EMD SW1200 and nothing on Rapido's website. Ciao. RG

Brian And I didn't miss the Walthers...I have an undec and a New Haven coming. I guess I'll be flush with SW1200 because I *will* buy the Rapidos.

I was interested in the Walthers SW1200 but it has been delayed almost as many times as the IMRC tunnel motors.
BTW, unless I am mistaken, the Walthers SW1200 is based on the old Proto2000 SW1200 which was from what I recall in the reviews, a very nice model; I don't remember any major flaws mentioned and it had nice detail and ran very smoothly.
So if Walthers was going to offer a SW1200 in D&RGW, I fully expected it to be a very nice switcher - believe I would be more than satisfied with it. That said, Rapido should exceed it.

I did not see them and they weren't on the listing so I think they were not.

There's a lot going on behind the scenes with my schedule so the show is a blur. This year I got stuck in an ice storm in the Omaha area and got in late. Saturday of the show, I recorded and edited everything and then crashed for the evening. Sunday morning I returned my camera man to Richmond, Indiana and then drove back to Omaha on Monday. Lots going on but hopefully you get the info you're looking for regarding the Rapido SW1200's. -James

I got an update from Trainworx about the 40' trailers I am interested in. They were originally due this fall around Oct/Nov, but were also affected by AFFA closure. The latest estimate on when those may be out is around late spring. I'm also interested in the Wheels of Time HO straight taper SP bulkhead flat cars; according to MRH forums rep who spoke to them, they are "due out soon", but I don't know what soon means. One month, three months, or more?

Did anyone happen to catch what the attendance total for the 2 days were? I was there on Sunday and talked to a guy that was there both days and he said Saturdays (which is the day I always went on) entrance line wasn't as long as it used to be compared to past years. And Sunday didn't seem very busy to me, but that's the first time I've been there on a Sunday. The guy think's the raise in door price ($15.00) may have had something to do with the shorter line.
