Does this include the Cornell red units for the ARHS? No. We're making extras of those. We will sell them until they are sold out. -Jason

I passed because the LV are too early for my era and without a preorder I don't want to inventory more locomotives.

Where are the Maine Central RS 11s?

Where are the Maine Central RS 11s? Future run. We had terrible trouble picking the units for the first run. We knew that no matter what roadnames we decided on we’d be upsetting some people. We’ve had loads of requests for BN, D&H, DW&P, MEC, NP, NYC and SAL and probably quite a few others I’ve forgotten. We hope to make many of these people happy second time around. The D&H and MEC units in particular wore some of the most gorgeous paint schemes ever devised so we can’t wait to offer them. -Rapido Gareth

I already ordered mine. I can see 2019 is going to be very expensive. Also, I might point out that Rapido is getting the largest portion of my modelling dollars. That speaks to the quality of Rapido's products. I am still trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on the Trix Challenger.
I am really going to be in the poorhouse when Rapido makes the Ski Train.

I believe you will only have to cast new A1A trucks.

Any plans for a RSC-14 in the future Garth? I believe you will only have to cast new A1A trucks. It’s certainly on our radar... but we’ve fallen into the trap before of promising something and thinking it was just a matter of a pair of new trucks and then realizing that it was a much more complicated project! -Rapido Gareth

The cabbages only have a new door! Actually to be fair we went into the Cabbage project with our eyes wide open. The F40PH with ditch lights, now that was a classic. That was only supposed to be a case of adding ditch lights. In the end it has a completely new body and many underbody changes! -Rapido Gareth

Gareth,
I would like to suggest the MLW M420 as well. I really want one to finish out my Delaware Lackawanna fleet.

Agreed, the M420 seems like a natural for Rapido. If VIA had owned any, I'm sure they'd have done it by now!

M-420's are a favorite of mine. I actually bought an Overland one in CN colors because I worked on one in "real life"(tm) back in 1999. On the real thing, it was real fun trying to change the batteries and then get one started after it had been sitting in storage on the Canadian tundra for years, but we did get it to run. The inside of the cab was immaculate, and certainly better than the B23-7 & GP38. The only real complaint was the vertical corner steps; it gave you a nice platform to stand on with the wide bottom step, but climbing up them with anything in your hands was not fun. Bonus: P&W had M-420R's (with trade-in RS-3 trucks) in two paint schemes. The Overland model is the old tank drive mechanism from the 1980's, which makes it a little noisy. But it's heavy and pulls well. I also added pick-up wipers to make it all-wheel pick-up and installed DCC. Who ever painted it did a really nice job, and either accidently or on purpose the weathering and wear & tear on the model looks just like the M-420's I worked on. Paint chips, broken decal stripe on the sill, a bent hand rail, and so on.

M420s are near and dear to me as well. Lake State Railway #3504 was the first "Alco" (I know, technically not an Alco) product I ever got to see run. I was lucky enough to be granted permission to check out their yard and shops on the day they were bringing #3504 "back from the dead" to help out with an influx of traffic. I even got to ride in 3504 around the shop area. This was in the fall of 2009, and 3504 and 2 of the C425s were the only Alcos left running on the LSRC at the time. A few months later they were sidelined again by more new EMDs and met the torch not long after. I'd love an HO version!

They may of received a waste retention tank when they were retrucked. I'd be in for a few RSC-14's for a PEI themed layout.
