Will the B36-7's have the New Loksound V5 decoder? Yes. All of our models have the V5 because ESU has stopped making the V4. In fact, they stopped midway through RDC production so three roadnames got V5s. -Jason

I used to buy them at vintage clothing stores in Kensington Market and Queen West, downtown Toronto. That was when "vintage" meant 1950s-1970s. Now "vintage" means last Tuesday. Today I get them all brand new from the UK. There are a couple of brands that are actually made in the UK. Usually they fit fine. But occasionally I order a dud. A pair of green cords arrived last week that were clearly designed to show off most of my underwear. I've emailed the store asking for something G rated. -Jason Ah, that splains it. Bell bottoms would have been vintage back then. Did you just happen upon the and get a wild hair or were you looking for them specifically. Honestly I had forgotten about them along with the Ricky Ticky Sticky flower power stickers and other groovy things from my early teens. I really only caught the tale end of the hippy generation stuff but my older sister was more a part of it. Speaking of the UK, my wife's brother, who lives about 45 minutes commute north of London, stocked up on Levi's while visiting us a couple years ago. Apparently they cost a good deal more over there and with the July 4 sale at the Levi store you could get them for about $25 USD. Doing a quick google it looks like whatever is being sold at present is for women - few if any came up for mean in the "shopping" tab.

Ordered some gondolas! A nice variety of schemes to complement the ones I have from the previous run. Particularly like the modern OCS schemes in CP. Looking forward to another run of 3800s!

There is quite the variety of gondolas, but being north of the border types, I'm not sure which, if any wandered south to the D&RGW. I've seen the odd CN box car or cylindrical hopper so who knows?

We've retooled the 3800s as a "flat pack" kit assembled at the factory. We're getting rid of any chance of banana-effect. -Jason
